Keylink would like to thank all friends who supported our fund raising events in 2007.

We raised £5405.77 with a further £512.96 being realised through Gift Aid.

Another busy, fun filled year beckons! The first event will be a

Table Top Sale on March 29th

at the church between 10.00 and 14.00. So if you have lots of things you'd like to sell why not book a table here and we'll charge you for the privilege! It will be warmer than a car book sale and there will be lovely meals available.

  RUDDINGTON
Members and friends of Ruddington Methodist Church enjoyed a wonderful day of celebration at the re-opening of the church on January 12th, after its refurbishment. The Boys' Brigade band headed a march round the village and there was a formal handover of the keys to the minister, Revd Peter Green by Mr Stewart Bloodworth, the building contractor, on the front door step.

Almost 300 people attended the service of thanksgiving, and everyone was delighted with the transformation of the church. The celebration was attended by the Mayor of Rushcliffe, who told an amusing story about the role of Mayor and made some thoughtful observations about the importance and value of a personal faith in God. The Chairman of the District, the Revd J Wesley Blakey, gave the address, encouraging persistence in prayer. He presented a long service certificate from the Methodist Church Music Society to Mr Oliver Blood, who has played the chapel organ for 66 years. Presentations were also made by Mrs Marilyn Hicks, the senior steward, to those people who had played an active part in the renovation of the premises, and she paid tribute to the late Geoff Clark, whose vision for the transformation of the sanctuary had been realised.

Thanks were recorded on the Order of Service to the architect, builders and subcontractors who made the vision a reality, and for the many generous grants and donations which had kept pace with the costs. Most of all, thanksgiving and glory and praise were given to God for all his blessings.

After the service refreshments were provided by the Women's Fellowship, though there was such a crowd that it was difficult for everyone to have a good look round!

On Saturday 8th March, from 10.30am to 12 noon, the Youth Group and Toddler Group will be holding a Coffee Morning with various stalls. The funds raised will be used towards the youth camp and equipment for the toddler group.

On Saturday 11 th April at 7 .I5pm we are holding a Concert by the St Cecelia Singers.

BRADMORE

With Christmas celebrations and the New Year Ceilidh now over, Bradmore returns to the gentler activities of the monthly 3 Cs, Crafts, Coffee and Chat, which continues to thrive on the first Saturday of each month. Money raised by the group in the past has been donated to NCH, Rainbows, Cardiomyopathy and Trent Crossroads. New members and visitors from anywhere in the circuit are always welcome; come just for the coffee and chat, or bring your handiwork to be admired and progressed.

Looking ahead, we are preparing for another riotous Rainbows Quiz Evening on Saturday 8th March starting at 7pm and look forward to welcoming teams of 4 to 6 people - or just come and join a team on the night. Entry is £4 per person, £1 for under-15s, light refreshments will be available, and proceeds will go to Rainbows funds.
